19th November 2009 Hello, Ida Clinckx is back in Belgium with new photos :-) She has to sew lots of new school uniforms...because...
Mia's schoolbus is pending several times to pick up all the many children each morning and midday. -.-.-.- There have been some changes in the teacher crew meanwhile:
(introducion from left to right) Mr. Willam D. Mendy is the new headmaster now (since Mr. Peter Gomez has left the school). Mr. Mendy teaches the class 2A (= 27 children of 5-7 years). Mrs Vernic Mendy is also new at our school. She teaches the class 1B (= 64 children of 3-4 years) together with Mrs Salimata Cham. Mr. Omar Camara is still there. He teaches Arabic/Outas lessons as before. Mrs Salimata Cham is also new in the staff. She also teaches the class 1B (together with Mrs Vernic Mendy). Mr. Abdou S. Bojang is still there. He teaches the class 2B (= 25 children 5-7 years). And last but not least...Mrs Kumba Jallow (sitting) is also still there. She teaches the class 1A (= 48 children of 4-5 years). The previous teacher, Mr. Peter Gomez, and the both assistant teachers (Mrs Aja Fofann and Mrs Yancuba Bojang) are not employed at Mia's Nursery School anymore. -.-.-.- The school is running a bit out of space now, that's why the youngest children (the 3-4 years old) ...
get taught outside under the roof... -.-.-.- Since the school is growing bigger and larger, the teachers have organized a meeting with the parents of the school kids. Because the teacher crew has been encouraged by Mia Clinckx, to manage many of the financial things by theirselves now, especially during the time when she is absent.
So they have decided to stop the increasement of the school a bit now. Since Mia's Nursery School has become the most popular school in Sanyang, they have concluded that new children should be registered at least a half year in advance. They will be set on a waiting list up from now.
The teachers also discussed about a little school fee with the parents, because also the permanent costs for the school have increased as well. But if there should be actually a school fee is not yet out. We will see what the future brings... -.-.-.- Well... speaking about financial things... ;-) Ida Clinckx is currently collecting money for the school in her home town in Belgium...
